Ways We Can Support Families

Hospital Care

80% of families are instantly hospitalized when they receive the shocking diagnosis.

– Laundry Supplies are a blessing, allowing families to wash laundry on their floor and stay with their child at all times, who needs Momma and Daddy.

– All About Me Posters ease the child’s anxiety by allowing hospital staff to engage in positive conversations outside of medical plans and connect families by serving as conversation starters.

– Initial Diagnosis Care Packages provide comforting, useful items needed during hospital stays and after being discharged.

– The Kiger Cares pantry supplies families with quick meals and snacks who need to remain at their child’s bedside.

Families struggle with PTSD, changed roles, and, strained relationships as daily stress increases.

Kiger Cares strives to ease daily living and give time back to the families by covering costs for services like, shopping & grocery delivery, home cleaning, and lawn care.

Regular care packages aim to bring joy, provide opportunities to encourage family bonding, celebrate treatment milestones, and help ease daily stresses.

Family Connections

Kiger Cares wishes to connect families whose child is being treated at the same hospital to expand their team of support, as an instant bond can be created with others who can empathize.
